This year’s theme, ‘Caring About Equality,’ highlights the challenges unpaid carers face. As a care provider, we honour everyone who cares - whether for a loved one or in a professional role ⬇️

This week, we caught up with one of our carers Julie Adegbite, who shared her journey with us:

"Being a carer is the best thing I’ve ever done. It doesn’t feel like a job - I genuinely love what I do. Seeing the difference in the person I support means everything. Now he talks, stands up for himself, and has so much more confidence. He’s come such a long way since I started caring for him.

If I were speaking to someone thinking about this job, I’d tell them: start at the bottom and learn your trade - you’ll grow to love it. And always treat the people you care for like your own family. If you do that, you can’t go wrong.”

We want to take a moment to recognise the strength, compassion, and dedication shown by all carers - whether you're volunteering, supporting a loved one, or working in a care role every day. Your impact matters. 💫
